Why Jenna Ortega Plans to Step Away After Wednesday

Published 11:41 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1Jenna Ortega recalled on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast that she has set a date for when she will leave the limelightJenna Ortega has opened up on her future plans, as she detailed how she wants to 'leave time for new things'.It might be hard to believe that Ortega is just 23 considering how long she has been in the limelight. However, the American actress's work ethic began well before her time as Wednesday in the Netflix series. Before that, she also appeared in the Netflix series You and also made a brief cameo in Marvel projects.AdvertPrior to her Netflix career, she also worked on the sitcom Stuck in the Middle as Harley Diaz, and also on the Disney channel as a child.Previously, Ortega reflected on her early start, telling Esquire that she 'was not actually looking after myself' as she continued to work on different projects.Jenna Ortega revealed all (YouTube/ Josh Horowitz)“I wasn’t asking for a sip of water,” she recalled. “I would go all day without eating, drinking, whatever, because I wanted so badly to not be in the way of anybody.”She added: "Maybe that was my mistake, was not actually looking after myself.”But now, she has explained that she is considering leaving the limelight for a while and disappearing from our screens to give herself some time back.In an appearance on Josh Horowitz's YouTube channel in an interview for the Happy Sad Confused podcast that was published yesterday (22 October), the actress revealed all.In the video shared to his channel, Horowitz asked Ortega about whether the prospect of locking herself into 'an ongoing commitment of a franchise' scares her these days after having been in multiple over the years. The Scream star has since explained that she hasn't 'had a lot of franchise [sic] conversations' lately. Now, she has the mindset of what she's 'meant to do will come and find me' and that after Wednesday ends, she will 'probably be off the TV for a while.'She explained her decision: "You know, I had many years doing that. I was bouncing from show to show as a kid.""I want to leave time for new things," Ortega added. She said once Wednesday is done, she will take a break (HELEN SLOAN/NETFLIX)In her Esquire conversation, the star explained that being a child star began and never ended.“I was seven years old when I said I wanted to do this,” Ortega said. “My parents laughed at me when I told them that I wanted to do it, and then that was kind of the root of everything. The motivation. And I never really stopped, because I’m very stubborn. And then I never questioned it.”She also said that she had it 'going for' her as a child, and the opportunities were fresh.“I really had it going for me as a child ‘cause I can’t think of one mistake I made. Is that a terrible thing to say?," she asked. "I feel like I make mistakes now all the time, but as a child, I was so grateful and so excited to be there that my game face was on.”Featured Image Credit: Dominik Bindl/WireImageTopics: Jenna Ortega, Netflix

Dylan Sprouse Sparks Reactions With Surprising Family Tree Discovery

Dylan Sprouse Sparks Reactions With Surprising Family Tree Discovery

Updated 21:09 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 18:42 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1The actor traced a surprising family connection after discovering an unusual pattern among his relativesDylan Sprouse has joked that he and twin brother Cole are 'children of incest' after uncovering a surprising connection between their parents' family trees. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star shared a meme about the discovery on October 22, making a reference to the Targaryen family from Game of Thrones, whose members are known for marrying close relatives. The joke followed Dylan's account of how he discovered the family connection on his Wildmen podcast, after investigating why there were so many sets of twins among his relatives. The 34-year-old explained that his parents' families had been connected through marriage in California during the 1800s, before their family lines crossed again in the generation immediately preceding his own.AdvertDylan captioned his October 22 family-tree meme "Targaryen maxxing", referencing Game of Thrones.(Dylan Sprouse/Instagram)What did Dylan Sprouse discover about his family tree?Speaking on the October 20 episode of Wildmen, Dylan explained that the discovery began when he learned his father's uncles were identical twins. He had previously believed the history of twins in his family came from his mother's side, which he said had seven sets of twins across four generations. The pattern prompted him to investigate whether the two sides of his family were connected further back than he had realized."Then they diverged," Dylan said of his parents' family lines. "Then, they married again with my mom and my dad—like, last generation."After uncovering the connection, Dylan decided to call Cole to share what he had found."I called Cole and I showed him a picture," he recalled. "And was like, ‘Dude, I just found out some f***ing crazy s***.’"Cole, however, apparently had no interest in examining the findings.According to Dylan, his twin brother responded, "Not looking at that," before closing what he was being shown and hanging up.Dylan was more than happy to turn the discovery into a joke, summing up his findings by saying: "Long story short, Cole and I are children of incest."Dylan and Cole Sprouse are twin brothers whose parents are Melanie Wright and Matthew Sprouse. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)What was Dylan Sprouse's incest meme about?Dylan's follow-up meme, shared through his Wildmen podcast's Instagram account, featured a warning about first-cousin marriage and the potential genetic consequences.Alongside black-and-white images of the brothers were the words "haha long jaw go brrrrr", joking about their prominent jawlines. The post was captioned "Targaryen maxxing", referencing the fictional dynasty from Game of Thrones, whose members frequently marry within their own family. The meme also mentioned homozygosity, which occurs when someone inherits identical versions of a gene from both biological parents. Depending on the genes involved, this can increase the risk of certain recessive genetic conditions. However, Dylan's story concerns historical connections between the families through marriage. His account does not establish that he and Cole's parents were close blood relatives, nor does it confirm that the brothers have any inherited genetic condition.Featured Image Credit: Lionel Hahn/Getty ImagesTopics: Cole Sprouse, Game of Thrones, Entertainment

Andy Burnham’s Fresh Warning: What Brits Are Told to Stock Up On

Published 18:58 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1Getting three days worth of food or water isn't a bad ideaThe prime minister has recommended that Brits make sure they're stocked up on important items like tins of food and bottles of water as he warned that 'unexpected events seem to be becoming more and more common'.Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live about the issues facing the UK such as challenging weather and online disruptions which could knock people's lives and routines off kilter, Andy Burnham said it was important to have reserves of essentials. He said: "You need to have a clear head when it comes to a challenging situation. So some tins of food, some bottled water, I think maybe."He also referred to Housing Secretary Angela Rayner's joke that her own emergency kit would include a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, saying he was 'not sure that that’s the top of the list in terms of the advice' but reckoned people should be 'allowed a glass or two' to get through tough times.AdvertThe prime minister said the country needed to be more resilient when the unexpected happens, and that involved having an emergency stash.A lot of the things you need are likely to be in your cupboards (Getty Stock Photo)All the items Brits are recommended to have a stockpile ofThe government's 'be ready' checklist involves having enough supplies to keep going for three days without water or power, and if you're putting it together the chances are you've likely got plenty of the things you need already in your cupboards.Bottled water for three days, three litres per person per day for drinking. Extra water for cooking and washing. Non-perishable food for three days such as tinned meat, fish or vegetables, dried fruit and nuts. Hand sanitiser, wet wipes and bathroom products.Torch and spare batteries.Blankets, sleeping bags and warm clothing.FM radio (battery / wind up).A list of frequencies of any national or local radio stations you use for news. Why Kim Jong Un’s 13-Year-Old Daughter Is Drawing Global Attention

Why Kim Jong Un’s 13-Year-Old Daughter Is Drawing Global Attention

Updated 10:55 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 14:51 22 Oct 2026 GMT+1It comes after rumors swirled that the North Korean dictator had passed away from a brain hemorrhageThe internet has been rife with rumors that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has died from a brain hemorrhage this week - and it's got people questioning who'd replace him if he was to die.North Korean state media has strongly denied these claims, of course, releasing 'proof of life' photos appearing to show Jong Un at a clothing exhibition, though these photos are yet to be independently verified.Regardless of whether the 42-year-old dictator is indeed fit and well as suggested, the rumors have left a lot of people wondering what North Korea will look like when he does pass away.According to experts, Jong Un's formidable younger sister Kim Yo Jung, 38, would be likely to take the helm after her brother's passing, before the baton is eventually handed to Jong Un's daughter, Kim Ju Ae - who has been dubbed the 'world's most dangerous' girl.AdvertKim Yo Jung, pictured on the right, would take over as leader if her brother, Kim Jong Un, died (Chris Jung/NurPhoto via Getty Images)What is known about Kim Jong Un's teenage daughter, Kim Ju Ae?The North Korean government has publicly disclosed little information about the leader's daughter, who he shares with Ri Sol-ju, and her exact birth date isn't known. It is believed she is around 13 years old.Ju Ae has previously accompanied her father at military displays and global conferences - with her first appearance being in 2022 - no doubt pruning her for when she will one day represent North Korea as its leader. The Independent has reported in light of the rumors of Jong Un's death, South Korea’s spy agency has told a closed-door parliamentary briefing that Ju Ae is now her father’s 'successor-designate', rather than just being groomed for leadership.Mason Richey, a professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, told Reuters in 2023: “For all we know this is just him [Jong Un] doting on a favorite child, but the more that she shows up, the more it seems that she’s either being fully groomed for leadership or at least floated as a possibility."She's already taken on some big roles - in 2024, she was being introduced at state ceremonies by her aunt Yo Jong, and later that year, she was positioned to formally greet the Russian ambassador.Kim Jong Un pictured with his daughter, Kim Ju Ae, believed to have been taken earlier this year (KCNA VIA KNS / AFP via Getty Images)The prospect of Kim Jong Un's sister taking over leadership of North KoreaMany would argue this is not a welcomed thought for North Koreans, as Yo Jung is considered to be far more merciless than her brother.Back in 2020, analysts warned that life in Pyongyang could only get 'worse' under her leadership.According to the Express, retired US Army Colonel David Maxwell said at the time: "We have to assume that every successor is worse than the last."I haven't seen any evidence, any indication of how she might rule, but my speculation - given the reputation and history of the family - is that she would rule with an iron fist."Yo Jung released a statement earlier this week in which she warned of a 'grave situation,' accusing South Korea of firing warning shots and broadcasting warning messages on several occasions since August, on the grounds that troops from North Korea had breached the border."A grave situation is prevailing along the southern border due to the reckless behavior of the ROK military gangsters," Yo Jong said, using South Korea's official designation, the Republic of Korea [ROK].She went on to say the military was 'deploying more tactical strike means along the southern border,' serving as 'preemptive and suppressive measure to deal with contingency, and of resuming the loudspeaker broadcasting against the ROK'.Rumors are suggesting Kim Jong Un has died, something North Korean officials have denied (KCNA VIA KNS / AFP via Getty Images)'The most dangerous woman out there'Yo Jung's life has recently gone under the microscope in a biography Dr. Sung-Yoon Lee, called The Sister: The extraordinary story of Kim Yo Jong, in which he warned how dangerous she may be."Unauthorised and undiplomatic, my biography of Ms Kim pulls few punches," he told the Big Issue."Referring to her as the world's first 'nuclear despotess', hence, the most dangerous woman out there, I portray her as the de facto second-in-command to her brother, who heads a nuclear-armed and uniquely cruel regime."Featured Image Credit: Mikhail Svetlov/Getty ImagesTopics: Kim Jong-un, North Korea, World News

Dakota Johnson Reveals the Awkward Reality Behind Solo Sex Scenes

Dakota Johnson Reveals the Awkward Reality Behind Solo Sex Scenes

Updated 16:40 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 12:57 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1The actress revealed she was recently introduced to an intimacy coordinator for the first time, despite being no stranger to sex scenesDakota Johnson has opened up about the awkward reality of filming sex scenes on her own.The Fifty Shades of Grey star, 37, revealed in an interview last year that she has to sometimes perform intimate moments completely alone while surrounded by male crew members.During an appearance on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, Johnson said she was introduced to an intimacy coordinator for the first time, despite having filmed numerous sex scenes throughout her career."I recently did a movie a few months ago and we had an intimacy coordinator on set and it was the first time I've ever worked with one," she said.AdvertThe actress explained that the coordinator suggested using a pilates ball between herself and another actor during intimate scenes.Johnson has filmed many sex scenes (Universal Pictures)"Do you want a pilates ball between you guys for the thrusting movement just to get some core workout in?" she recalled them saying. The unusual technique wasn't ultimately used because it would have created too much distance between the actors... I guess it's better than supergluing a thong to her body.'I'm just gyrating on my own and a tennis ball off camera'Johnson then revealed that some of her most awkward experiences have involved filming intimate sequences without another performer physically present."There are times when I've done a sex scene where I'm by myself 'cuz I'm only in the frame," she explained. "So I'm just gyrating on my own and a tennis ball off camera."Johnson credits her mum for making her 'love her body' (Arnold Jerocki/Getty Images)'Slamming myself into a headboard' in front of 'a bunch of dudes'She’s also had to simulate intimate movements against furniture while crew members stood nearby."Or slamming myself into a headboard and then on the other side of the camera is just a bunch of crew guys," Johnson added."Just a bunch of dudes... with their heads down."Despite the unusual circumstances, Johnson said she generally feels confident performing intimate scenes when they serve an important purpose in the story. She also credited her mother, actress Melanie Griffith, with raising her to feel comfortable and confident in her own body, something she believes has helped her throughout her acting career."My mom raised me to be really proud of my body and love my body," she explained."So I've always felt so grateful for that, especially in my work because I can use it and it feels real.“I think it depends on who is the character and who's the character supposed to be to the audience. Is she a super idolized hot girl? Is she a housewife? Is she lonely? Is she scared? Is she conservative?"That's obviously character work, but then certain prep would go into it.”Featured Image Credit: Christopher Polk/CBS via Getty ImagesTopics: Celebrity, Sex and Relationships, Film

Why Typhoon Champi Has Brought Taiwan to a Near Standstill

Updated 11:37 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 11:21 23 Oct 2026 GMT+1One person has died from being swept away by waves, while the storm has also injured 171 people and forced 1,000 others to evacuateTaiwan has been brought to a near standstill as Typhoon Champi, one of the most powerful storms in the Pacific this year, has devastated the island.Hundreds of flights in East Asia have been cancelled on Friday (23 October), due to wind gusts of 191km/h (119mph) with 90cm (35in) of rain forecasted to last until Saturday evening.Officials say one person has died from being swept away by waves, while the storm has also injured 171 people and forced 1,000 others to evacuate.Taiwan’s $5tn (£3.7tn) financial markets, schools and government offices have been forced to shut across almost the entire island, with a population of 23 million people.AdvertChampi, which reached super typhoon status earlier this week, recorded maximum sustained winds of 298km/h (185mph) at its peak, equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane.Sandbags and flood barriers have been placed outside buildings as Typhoon Champi approaches Taiwan (I-Hwa Cheng / AFP via Getty Images)It has been fuelled by a Super El Niño, which happens when normal, east-to-west trade winds weaken or reverse, causing warm water to pool along the Americas and disrupt global weather, often causing heavy rains in some regions and severe droughts in others. While there have been only a handful of these cases since 1950, the World Meteorological Organization said this El Niño is likely to strengthen over the rest of 2026, driving more extreme weather around much of the globe.“El Niño is the main driver,” said James Caron, director of meteorological operations for North America and Asia, at Atmospheric G2.“The biggest threat is extreme rain over northern and northeastern Taiwan.”Fishing boats are moored at a fishing harbour as Typhoon Champi approaches Taiwan (I-Hwa Cheng / AFP via Getty Images)“In late October the northeast monsoon is already in place, and a typhoon passing nearby pulls that flow into the island’s terrain,” he said, adding that it could potentially cause as much as 46cm (18in) over greater Taipei, risking catastrophic flash floods and landslides.CWA forecaster Liu Pei-teng told Reuters that landfall could not be ruled out if it ‘stalls, loops, or wobbles from side to side’.“The storm's wind radius is quite large, among the bigger ones in recent years," Liu said.“If the storm slows down, the strong winds will affect Taiwan for longer.”Lee Ming-chen, head of the port town of Suao noted that ‘when necessary, the military will come in to help people, including using amphibious vehicles for evacuations or disaster relief’.Hundreds of flights have been cancelled (Yasin Demirci/Anadolu via Getty Images)In Japan's southern Okinawa prefecture, approximately 8,400 households experienced power outages as the storm approached. The Philippines also suffered severe weather, particularly in the northern Batanes islands, where enormous waves struck coastal communities and roads were closed.Weather agencies predicted Champi would pass close to Taiwan's northeastern coastline before moving towards Japan's Okinawa islands and eventually curving northeast towards mainland Japan. However, meteorologists warned that unpredictable movements could still bring the storm directly over Taiwan.Heavy rainfall was expected to peak on Saturday morning, with dangerous conditions continuing into the evening.Featured Image Credit: Gallo Images/Orbital Horizon/Copernicus Sentinel Data 2026Topics: Weather, World News

‘Tan Mom’ Patricia Krentcil Claims ICE Nearly Detained Her Over Her Tan

Published 03:36 22 Oct 2026 GMT+1Patricia Krentcil, better known as 'Tan Mom', says she was left terrified after ICE agents allegedly questioned whether she was a US citizenA woman dubbed ‘Tan Mom’ says she was questioned by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and almost put in handcuffs due to her extremely bronzed look. Patricia Krentcil - also known as Tan Mom - said she almost landed herself ‘in a pickle’ after immigration officers approached her when she left a restaurant with pals and began questioning if she was a US citizen because of her super-tanned complexion. Speaking on a recent episode of her Light. Tan. Up. with Tan Mom & Adam Barta podcast, Krentcil said: “Back to the ICE issue, I was at a restaurant with my girlfriends and I walked out with my friends, as we were done eating, and the ICE people stopped me. “They asked me, am I an American citizen and I’m, like, ‘yes’, you know. It blew my mind. Advert“Because I was so tanned, they were about to handcuff me and take me away [to] God knows where because once you get in those trucks, you don't know where you're going anymore.”Patricia Krentcil, aka Tan Mom, said she was approached by ICE agents (YouTube/ Light. Tan. Up. with Tan Mom & Adam Barta)Krentcil said despite being ‘scared’ by the ‘terrifying’ situation she ‘held [her] own’ and managed to get out of it. Krentcil said she believes she was stopped by the ICE agents due to her dark tan and slammed President Donald Trump for ‘supporting all this nonsense’. This isn’t the first time the New Jersey mum has had a brush with the law due to tanning. She hit headlines in 2012 after she was arrested and charged with child endangerment after it was claimed she allowed her six-year-old daughter to use tanning beds. A nurse at the daughter’s school claimed the little girl told her she went ‘tanning with mommy’. Krentcil strenuously denied the claims and a grand jury failed to indict her on the charges. Speaking at the time, she said: "That nurse made the worst mistake of her life. "I don't think dollars can put something on it, for what they did to us, emotionally. That school is pathetic. It was definitely a set up, I don't care what anyone says."Krentcil went viral following this interview in 2012 (CNN)She also told TMZ: “I'm innocent and it's proven... I would never -- never -- put my daughter in a tanning booth. We go out shopping. That's what we do.” She also branded the whole thing a ‘witch hunt’ and said there was ‘somebody out there’ who was ‘jealous’ of her. In an interview with Vice last year, Krentcil said her little girl got a sunburn from being outside and had not been on a tanning bed. Opening up about the experience, she said that days after she was accused of child endangerment she did an interview with local news, in which she famously said ‘I like to tan’, which quickly went ‘global’ and led to her viral fame. Krentcil admitted that at some points in her life she was tanning seven days a week but said she hoped her kids would not follow in her footsteps. Christa Pike Poll Sparks Debate Over Second Execution Attempts

Christa Pike Poll Sparks Debate Over Second Execution Attempts

Published 01:15 22 Oct 2026 GMT+1Poll finds around one-third of Americans support second execution attempts following the failed lethal injection of Christa PikeBut support for the death penalty has dropped overall Weeks after the botched execution of death row inmate Christa Pike, a new poll has found that around one in three Americans are in favour of second execution attempts. The poll, published on Tuesday by Reuters/Ipsos, found that 39% of those who took part agreed that prisoners who survive a first execution attempt who should be allowed to live out the rest of their life in prison, and 26% did not know, reports People. The results have been published three weeks since Pike, 50, survived two doses of a lethal poison during her execution attempt on September 30.Pike was transported to hospital after the initial attempt was halted by officials. She was unconscious in a critical condition while under guard for five days, before she spoke to medics.AdvertWhat could happen next for Christa Pike as lawyers confirm she has been released from hospitalHer lawyers said at the time, she was just hours from having her life support withdrawn, so her improvement was a ‘surprise’.The following day, she was reported to have been walking. In addition to finding around one third of Americans support a second execution attempt, it also found that support for the death penalty had decreased since 2017.That year, 63% of respondents said they supported the death penalty for ‘the most serious crimes’, but the recent survey put this support at 55%. This represents a decline of 8 percentage points in the past 9 years. At the age of 18, prosecutors allege Pike tortured and killed her classmate Colleen Slemmer in Knoxville, Tennessee. Pike confessed to the crime and was convicted of premeditated first-degree murder and conspiracy to murder and sentenced to death. She became the youngest woman to receive a death sentence in the modern US and if she had been executed, she would have become the first woman to have been executed in Tennessee in over 200 years.Pike has spent over three decades on death row (WTVF)Since her botched execution, Pike has become the first person in America to survive being administered with a lethal injection during execution.Others have survived only by a failure to find a line, which resulted in the execution being called off before the poison was administered. If Pike does end up facing the death penalty for the second time, she would not be the first to do so.In 2022, prisoner Kenneth Eugene Smith survived an attempted lethal injection in Alabama when officials could not establish a line in his veins.Lawyer reveals the only other person in history to survive an execution attempt before Christa Pike (Tennessee Department of Corrections)By 2024, after judges ruled that a second execution attempt was lawful, Smith was executed by nitrogen gas, becoming the first person in the US to be executed through this procedure.Governor Bill Lee of Tennessee ordered a review of Pike’s execution attempt and suspended the state’s remaining executions for the rest of the year. The Reuters/Ipsos poll included 1,679 American adults over a period of four days with a margin of error of around 2%.Featured Image Credit: (Tennessee Department of Corrections)Topics: US News, Christa Pike

Published 00:06 22 Oct 2026 GMT+1A reboot of the cult series is on its way and fans will be seeing some familiar faces The Glee reboot is confirmed and it seems as though fans could be set to see some familiar faces, with multiple stars already linked to the new series. The cult high-school musical show originally aired for six seasons between 2009 and 2015. As well as treating us to some pretty incredible covers, the series wasn’t without its controversies, including one episode that people were urged not to watch. It's now been confirmed that the show is being revived by Disney Plus and Hulu with original series co-creator Ryan Murphy returning. AdvertToday (21 October) Variety announced that Lea Michele will also be back as she’s set to reprise the role of Rachel Berry. Michele appeared across all six seasons of Glee, with Rachel making her first appearance in the pilot episode. In an interview just last month, Michele strongly suggested that she’d be down for a reboot. “I love Glee. I will always love Glee,” she told E! News when asked how she’d feel about ‘revisiting’ the role. Lea Michele as Rachel Berry in Glee (FOX Image Collection via Getty Images)“I love Ryan Murphy.”“[The show] just holds such a special place in my heart for me,” Michele continued. “So, I will follow Ryan wherever he goes.”And now it seems that she’s following him right back to the set of Glee. Speaking to Variety, one source confirmed: “She’s in.” While another said: “It’s still early-ish days, but it feels good and we’re happy to get the band back together.” And it seems that Rachel won’t be the only original character appearing in the reboot. So far, two other Glee stars have made very telling social media posts that appear to confirm they’ll be back. Taking to Instagram, Heather Morris - who starred as Brittany Pierce - shared a throwback photo of herself in her William McKinley High School cheerleader’s uniform with the caption: “Yes ladies and gentle men of women, rumours are true. "Brittany S Pierce was in fact lost in the sewers for all these years. But I’m here to inform you that she is alive and well..."And back for more #Glee”. Chord Overstreet, who played Sam Evans, also dropped a pretty hefty hint that he’d be returning. In a post on X today, he wrote: “Reunited and it feels so good!”Meanwhile, Deadline has reported that Matthew Morrison, who played teacher WIll Schuester on the show, is not in talks to return ‘as yet’ but that he is ‘hopeful’ he could be involved in the revival.Murphy said last month that he had been in touch with ‘around 10 of the original cast members’, who they are or whether they’re keen remains to be seen but we can probably expect to hear some further announcements in the coming weeks. Mystery ‘Predator’ Near US-Mexico Border Draws Attention After UFO Expert’s Claim

Mystery ‘Predator’ Near US-Mexico Border Draws Attention After UFO Expert’s Claim

Updated 19:54 21 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 19:39 21 Oct 2026 GMT+1Authorities say no attacks have been reported, and some of Maussan’s past claims were hoaxes Photographs of an unidentified white creature captured near the US-Mexico border have prompted a UFO investigator to suggest it could be a being from another dimension. Jaime Maussan has alleged that a carnivorous being has been killing and carrying away chickens, roosters and rabbits in the Valley of Juárez, a rural farming area along the Rio Grande in Chihuahua.Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said it may not be an extraterrestrial, but some form of intelligence crossing over from another dimension that shares the same space as Earth. “Why did it appear there? It’s a mystery. Are they interdimensional beings? Are they beings who came with other beings? Did they come in ships?” he said.AdvertAuthorities with Juárez Civil Protection said they have not received any reports of a deadly creature in the area or any animals being taken. Police on the Texas side of the border told the El Paso Times there have been no reports of strange encounters or farm animal deaths since Maussan made his claims on October 5.Jaime Maussan has alleged that a carnivorous creature has been killing chickens, roosters and rabbits in the Valley of Juárez in Chihuahua. (Photo by Medios y Media/Getty Images)How big is the creature spotted near the US border? The images, taken by camera traps this month, were revealed at a press conference in Mexico on October 17, where four research assistants working with Maussan said they estimated its size after spotting it climb a large brick wall.Compared to the bricks, it was nearly six feet long from head to tail tip, with a tail they claimed measured approximately three feet. Surveillance cameras never caught it walking upright, which Maussan suggested it could do.Researchers working with Maussan said it did not appear to be a rodent, raccoon, rat, rabbit or any other common animal known to live in Chihuahua. Animal specialists were allegedly brought in and determined it was not a common mammal found on Earth, though they reportedly said it might be ‘mutating’.“It’s a predator. I’m not saying it’s extraterrestrial, but it is something scary,” he told NetNoticias.Mx. “Its intelligence and agility are truly frightening. I don’t believe it attacks people, but it is affecting the interests of those who live in the so-called Juárez Valley.”Maussan said he began investigating after an unnamed boy saw it grab a chicken by the head and run up a nearby tree.Juárez Civil Protection said it has not received any reports of a deadly creature in the area or of any animals being taken. (Photo by Herika Martinez / AFP via Getty Images)Has Jaime Maussan made UFO claims before? In 2023, Maussan presented two ‘non-human’ mummies reportedly found in Peru to the Mexican Congress, claiming they were proof of alien life. Forensic experts concluded they were dolls assembled from animal and human bones using glue and paper.Maussan has compared the creature to El Ser de Metepec, the hairless, alien-like creature discovered by a farmer near Mexico City, which he investigated in 2007, calling this one an adult version of it. That earlier case, which he claimed was an alien after it was allegedly killed in a farmer’s rat trap, was later found to be a modified squirrel monkey created by a local taxidermist.According to the US government, there has never been any physical evidence recovered that proves the existence of UFOs or alien life.UNILAD has contacted Jaime Maussan and Juárez Civil Protection for comment... Trump’s Helipad Wave Sparks Confusion After Camera Reveals the Wider Scene

Trump’s Helipad Wave Sparks Confusion After Camera Reveals the Wider Scene

Published 17:54 21 Oct 2026 GMT+1It's not the first time the president has been seen wandering off on his own Donald Trump was videoed on Monday waving to nobody as he headed towards the presidential helicopter. A video showed the president wandering across towards the newly renovated helicopter pad at the White House, then waving, saluting, and bowing as if he were interacting with a crowd of onlookers. The only problem, was as the camera zoomed out, nobody was there. A clip of the moment was posted on X by the account Donk Media, which pointed viewers to the 21-second mark, where the camera widens to show the surrounding area. Its caption read: "LOL - Trump stops mid helipad to wave and salute nobody."AdvertOne comment on X praised the camera work, reading: 'Well done on the wide shot.'Who was Trump waving at on the helipad?A second angle of the departure, as described by the Daily Beast, shows Trump dragging his right leg and patting it as he approached Marine One. He then stopped walking and began waving, while his aides approached from an entirely different direction.Users on X speculated that the president might have been hallucinating or waving at his reflection. It is important to note that footage does not show who, if anyone, was standing out of frame. A still from the recording also shows a uniformed service member near the helicopter's open doorway. Presidents customarily return salutes from military personnel at the steps of presidential aircraft, but the clip captures only one moment of the departure and does not show everyone positioned around the helicopter.President Donald Trump, 80, left the White House for Kansas on Monday, October 19. The Daily Beast also pointed to an earlier moment during Trump's visit to Japan in October 2025. Walking through a room filled with dignitaries and a military band, he appeared to lose track of where he was heading, the outlet said, at one point leaving Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi behind. In October 2026, a video went viral showing Trump wandering past the open door of his presidential limousine, 'The Beast,' following a campaign rally in Dalton, Georgia. In the footage, Trump bypasses the waiting vehicle and walks out onto the open tarmac until Secret Service agents gently redirect him. While detractors pointed to the moment as potential evidence of cognitive or spatial disorientation, supporters and fact-checkers countered that the clip lacked context, suggesting he was simply walking over to greet a group of people standing just out of the frame. What was Trump doing in Kansas?Trump was due to speak at 6 p.m. at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City, outside Wichita, in support of Republican Sen. Roger Marshall. Doors were set to open at 2:30 p.m., with the rally program starting at 4:30 p.m.Trump was due to speak at 6 p.m. at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City (Photo by Kent NISHIMURA / AFP via Getty Images)Marshall is seeking a second term against Democrat Adam Hamilton, and several national polls have rated the race a toss-up, KCUR reported, though Kansas has not elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1932.The visit forms part of a midterm campaign swing in which Trump planned to stop in several red-leaning states.Featured Image Credit: Jim Lo Scalzo/EPA/Bloomberg via Getty Images
